Elevator Pitch to Finish! Writers Workshop

So many writers seem unable to get past the first 50 pages of their books, either losing interest in the characters or they suffer “writer’s block”. In other words, they get stuck, so they move on to the next story and characters that have captured their imagination – for another 50 pages.

Get past that 50 pages. Stop limiting yourself to short stories. In the beautiful, eclectic REaD Cafe on Paradise Island, we’ll begin by creating your own “elevator pitch”. Then we’ll use that as the basis of my triple arc method. This method will bring clarity to your mind and story, with “signposts” that help you complete the book, every time. Combined with an afternoon session on Deep Point of View, an elusive skill that takes you right into the heads of your characters even when it’s not their scene, the day is all about YOUR book. With clear examples and exercises that work on your book, you’ll go home energised and ready to write!

– Includes a critique of your first 10 pages. Coffee, Morning Tea and Lunch Included
